Cristina Cugliandro is a theatre director and artistic director of Montreal’s Odd Stumble Theatre and identifies as an ecofeminist artist. She has worked extensively collaborating on and devising new work as well as deconstructing existing works. Cristina is attracted to projects that push the imagination to explore ways in which to challenge theatricality. She focuses on approaches that best suit each individual project. Whether exploring interdisciplinary or more traditional pathways, she aims to play with boundaries while staying true to the craft and the important questions posed by the project. Cristina is a design based director and therefore always works intimately with designers and performers to create a visual, coherent, dynamic and visceral journey for audiences. She is also committed to artist development and event curation.
Apart from her Associate Artist duties, Cristina is responsible for audience development for schools and organizations, and touring. She is a Master’s graduate of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and Birkbeck University in London, England.
