Play and project Submissions

We are not considering any plays until 2022.

Imago Theatre does not accept unsolicited play submissions. If you believe that your script is in line with our mission, we would be happy to hear about it. Send us your biography, a brief synopsis of the play, including cast size and breakdown, and up to 10 pages of the text. We will respond promptly to acknowledge receipt of your work, but please allow at least 8 weeks before a formal response to the work submitted.

Imago Theatre supports the development of artists and their projects by providing mentorship, a brave space to work, a network of collaborators, and potentially an opportunity to showcase. We do not have a formal residency program, nor do we have the means to offer financial support, but if you would like to propose a project-based or artistic development residency, we would be happy to hear your proposal.

Please send us your CV, biography, and a cover letter outlining the nature of the residency: your artistic goals, how you envision Imago supporting your process, and how you propose to finance the residency.

To submit a play or inquire about an artistic residency, contact Imago’s Artistic Director Micheline Chevrier at micheline@imagotheatre.ca
