Paula Wing

Paula is a playwright, actor, teacher and translator. She is delighted to be a Resident Artist Educator with YPT, and has premiered her original play Risky Phil on the YPT mainstage. Paula is a Resident Artist at Soulpepper Theatre, and she teaches several playwriting courses at the Tarragon Theatre. In 2017, Paula’s translation of Stefano Massini’s Intractable Woman premiered in Montréal at Imago Theatre, and was produced in 2018 by The Play Company in New York City. She directed Someone Between by Chantria Tram for the Summerworks Festival and Soulpepper’s Shen Festival. Her adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas in the Territory was featured in Soulpepper’s 2017 holiday podcast series. Paula’s musical adaptation of Margaret Mahy’s The Man Whose Mother Was a Pirate, originally commissioned and produced by YPT, toured Eastern Ontario with Thousand Islands Playhouse (TIP). Paula has appeared onstage at TIP next summer as Karole in The Canadian.
